There comes a time in every rightly constructed boy's life when he has a raging desire to go somewhere and dig for hidden treasure.

My boyhood has not ended yet and I don't see it ending anytime soon. I often look for hidden treasure in science, engineering, programming, art, nature, life, universe and everything. This blog serves as showcase and a reminder.

I'm Raiyan Kamal, born and grew up in Bangladesh. Completed undergrad in Computer Science & Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology, Dhaka. Currently I'm pursuing a masters degree in Computer Science at the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

The topic of my masters thesis is energy efficiency in Wireless Sensor Networks. Other ongoing and previous research include image processing and computer graphics. I'm a founder member of Graphite, a student research group of CSE, BUET. Although I've worked with many different programming languages and platforms, these days I'm using Python on desktop and Java for Android development.

I grew up all over the country, my family used to move a lot. Had a life like Zafar Iqbal's 'Dipu Number Two'. Been a boy scout for little more than four years and grew up with a strong connection with nature.
